Montenegrin stone thrower Filip Radović made it to the semifinals of the sanctioned international tournament of coefficient 20 in Alexandria, Egypt, and secured a bronze medal.
Finished the competition in the group as second place, with two triumphs and a defeat.
The silver medalist from the European Championship from Helsingborg was defeated by Su Jin Suan from Chinese Taipei 3:2 in the first round, while in the next two he won against local competitors, Abdelvahab Abdelrahman 3:1 and Ahmed Abdel Latif 3:0.
With an unexpected loss to Su Jin Suan, Radović lost a certain number of points in the fight for a place at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
He was on the verge of winning that match, with the score 2:2 in sets and 10:9, he had the match point, but he failed to realize it.
Radović's opponent in tomorrow's semi-final will be the winner of Group A, Spaniard Ruiz Reyes, a direct competitor for the Olympic visa.
Su Ji Suan and Czech Ivan Karabec will meet in the second semi-final.
