Montenegrin karate player Nenad Dulović finished fifth in the Premier League tournament in Dubai.
A member of Omladinc was defeated today in the match for the third place and bronze medal in the category up to 60 kilograms by the Greek Kristos-Stefanos Xenos 2:0.
The Greek karate player won bronze at the Premier League in Paris at the end of January.
He is the winner of gold medals at the European Championship in Aalborg and the World Championship in Chile, in the competition of younger seniors.
It was in Aalborg last year that Xenos, who won 2:1 at the time, got in the way of Dulović's bronze medal.
On Friday, Dulović defeated the Russian Stjepan Efimenko 3:0 in the first round, in the second he eliminated the Ukrainian Igor Uhnič 1:0, while in the third he won against the Egyptian Malek Salam 2:0.
In the semi-final match, he lost to Darkan Asadilov from Kazakhstan 4:2.
By placing in the finals, the Kazakh pushed karate player Omladinc into the repechage and enabled him to continue the fight for a medal.
He won the match for the winner's podium with a 5:0 victory against Slovakian Dominik Imric.
Of the other Montenegrin karatekas in Dubai, Marina Raković won seventh place yesterday, while Nikola Malović finished his performance in the second round.
At the Premier League tournaments, the right to perform is given to the top 50 from the ranking list of the World Karate Federation by category.
