Not even a heavy defeat in Kazan, three days of sleeplessness did not discourage Montenegrin kick-boxer Miroslav Vujović.

He managed to reach Montenegro after almost four days, due to problems with flight cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic.

- Straight from the airport, we were escorted away dressed in those "space" suits and placed in a 14-day quarantine in Danilovgrad. If the possibility of movement is excluded, I would rather call the accommodation a luxury apartment. Internet, TV, excellent food delivered to my door - sums up the first impressions of the 27-year-old Aristona fighter.

On March 15, he was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the prestigious Tatneft Cup, because the better performance of the Dutchman Dexter Suis was crowned with an interruption 20 seconds before the end of the third round.

- I moved poorly, accepted his way of fighting, and the fact that he was 20 kilograms heavier was not in my favor. Good thing I didn't get hurt. But that was easier than returning to the homeland. We were returned from the Belgrade airport, six Russians, a citizen of BiH and I back to Moscow - said Vujović.

He managed to return from Moscow only after an agreement between the Montenegrin Government and the Russian Embassy.

- We were only in Belgrade for 20 minutes, I didn't even have time to contact the embassy. Two police officers took us back to the plane. That's where I felt this psychosis for the first time - the fear of the virus. They tested us in Kazan and everything was fine. It also works normally in Moscow. I paid for the apartment on the third night, because in the two previous days I tried unsuccessfully to find the possibility to return. I saw that it is easier for others, because we do not have the possibility of a direct flight to Montenegro. I had the support of our embassy in Moscow, but they could not do much until the agreement on the flight by which the citizens were exchanged - explained Vujović.

The first day of quarantine was not difficult for Vujović.

- I need a rest, two months of preparation in Novi Sad where I have my car and things left, then travel, fight... I hope that I will be able to use the yard of this facility for training, because it is at least five meters to the street, and I can see and that the army provides quarantine - pointed out Vujović.

- I hope that everyone else who is abroad will soon return to Montenegro.
