For the weekend road championship of Montenegro in cycling

The Road Cycling Championship of Montenegro will be held on August 22 and 23 in Danilovgrad, organized by the "Džada" cycling club, BSCG announced.

"The Cycling Association of Montenegro, as the main house of sports cycling in Montenegro, despite the circumstances caused by the epidemic of the Covid-19 virus, strives to implement the sports plan for this year to the best extent possible," the organization said.

An individual time trial is scheduled for Saturday, August 22, while a road race is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, which will be 88,3 km in length: Danilovgrad - Slap Zete - Glava Zete - Bogetići - Danilovgrad, two laps.

The race route is demanding with uphill sections of 376 meters in height, on a relatively short section.

All competitors who are members of Montenegrin clubs registered with the parent Association have the right to participate in the National Championship of the Cycling Association of Montenegro. This championship will also have a qualifying role for the national team of Montenegro, which will take part in the international race "Tour of Montenegro", for which several stages are scheduled and which will be held at the beginning of October.

The road championship was supported by the Municipality of Danilovgrad, in addition to the Cycling Association as an organizer and sponsor.
