American boxer 43-year-old Floyd Mayweather, who earned more than 800 million dollars during his professional career, should come back from retirement again.
His camp confirmed that he will fight on February 28, 2021 in Tokyo, but it is not yet known who his opponent will be.
Mayweather was the world champion in five weight categories (super-featherweight, lightweight, super-lightweight, welterweight and super-welterweight). In his professional career, he won all 50 fights, 27 of which he won by knockout.
Two matches attracted the greatest media attention. The first was in May 2015 in Las Vegas, which was called the "Fight of the Century", and in which his opponent was the Filipino Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather won that fight by decision of the judges.
In August 2017, he fought Irish mixed martial arts (MMA) master Conor McGregor in Las Vegas and won by TKO. With that fight, in which he earned about 200 million dollars, he ended his career.
However, in December 2018, he unexpectedly returned to the ring, and in Saitama, in an exhibition duel, he knocked out the Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa after two minutes, and this earned him nine million dollars.
