The Montenegrin boxing team perfectly finished the European Youth Championship in Budva, where they won four medals - two gold and one bronze each. The BK Budva boxers, Bojana Gojković in the featherweight category and Petar Liješević in the light heavyweight category, climbed to the highest step of the podium, and they were also declared the best participants in the tournament!
Bronze medals went to their club and national team colleagues, Miloš Krasnići in middleweight and Nina Radenović in welterweight.
Bojana easily passed her rival's guard in the final to the delight of lovers of the noble skill in the European Boxing Confederation. So much so, that in EUBC they gave her the nickname "red fire"! And how good the Pole is, is shown by the fact that she made the biggest surprise of the championship, defeating the defender of the throne, the Russian Alina Kantemirov, in the semi-finals.
Liješević deservedly won the award for the best boxer in the tournament. Only, he surpassed himself, by taking revenge on the Russian Ramadan Dadayev, who defeated him in the junior semi-finals. Liješević dominated from the start for a convincing unanimous decision. He was convincing in the quarter-finals, which he won by stoppage at the end of the first round, in the semi-finals he made the judges count twice...
And Budva was a fantastic host, how else to achieve that from the start, on November 11, until today, not a single positive test for corona has been recorded! All the participating countries as well as the EUBC congratulated the president of BK Budva and the EP organizing committee, Aleksandar Klemenko, on the fantastic organization.
