Montenegrin professional boxer Predrag Radošević, who was supposed to perform at a boxing spectacle in Germany in the middle of this month, at the invitation of Felix Sturm, will not box, but will wait until March next year to return to the ring.
Namely, Felix Sturm, who organizes the boxing spectacle together with Ismail Ozen Ot, informed our boxer that, due to the complex epidemiological situation due to the coronavirus pandemic, only domestic competitors will perform at the show, because due to the measures of the German authorities, all foreign competitors would have to to be 10 in quarantine.
- I have been training hard for a month and a half and I was looking forward to returning to the ring. But my friend Felix Sturm informed me that upon arrival in Germany I must be isolated for 10 days. This is of course a big problem, because practically before the match you lose 10 days of training and then it is impossible to enter the ring in the right way. That's exactly why only German fighters will perform, because none of the competitors from the side accepted being in quarantine - explained Radošević.
The Montenegrin boxer, who celebrated against Isam Asabov on December 7 last year in Hemelno, Germany, received an invitation to be part of the boxing spectacle in Germany, which would also represent the beginning of cooperation between Montenegrin boxing and German organizations. But, although he will not do the match, Felix Sturm, whom our boxer was defeated by in 2013 in the decisive match for the attack on the title of world champion of the IBF version, announced a new spectacle.
- We have reached an agreement to organize a match in March next year, and it remains to be seen whether the show will be organized in Germany or whether we will make a boxing spectacle in Podgorica - said Radošević.
The Montenegrin professional boxer has had 37 fights in the professional ring so far, achieved 34 wins and three losses, and apart from the loss to Saidi in Podgorica, he was defeated both times in title matches, by Felix Sturm and Liam Smith.
