From February 16 to 22, Budva will be the organizer of the jubilee 30th Adriatic pearl, which will no longer be a fashion show, but one of the most prestigious tournaments. And in the world!

With more than half a month until the start, the number of applications exceeded all expectations, because they were sent by the two biggest Bosker European powers - Russia and Ukraine.

The fact that Budva was the host of the best-organized European Championship in November last year was confirmed in the re-approved candidacy and hosting in which it won the candidacy of Istanbul by a vote of 7:3, with one abstention. .

- Not only European powers, the application for the Pearl of the Adriatic was also sent by the most successful team of the last Olympics, Uzbekistan, there are also France, India, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Finland... So far 12 countries - explained the selector of the Montenegrin national team, Boško Drašković.

And the coach of BK Budva and assistant coach in the selection, Nikola Ružić, expects that the tournament in Budva will be an excellent test before the World Championship, which will be held in Poland in April.

- The special guest at the tournament will be Mr. Umar Kremljov, the president of the world boxing association AIBA, who will present valuable equipment to all boxing associations in the Balkans in Budva. We organized the European Championship so well that not a single case of infection with the corona virus was recorded, so some selections, which had given up coming to the championship in November due to the pandemic, have now sent applications for the 30th Adriatic Pearl - not without pride Ružić emphasized .

Apart from Gojković and Liješević, Miloš Krasnići and Nina Radenović won bronze from his club at the EP in Budva.

- There will be real tests at the tournament in Budva, since numerous medal winners from the European and Asian championships have applied.
