The Alpine Skiing World Championship in Cortina d'Ampezzo already has its heroes, such as the winner of two gold medals in the fastest disciplines - downhill and super-giant slalom, Austrian Vincent Kriehmeier. In technical disciplines, however, Montenegro will also have participants.
Montenegro will be represented by five competitors in the Italian ski center at the biggest show in alpine skiing, announced the Montenegrin Ski Association. Bojan Kosić, Eldar Salihović, Vladimir Vukmirović, Jelena Vujičić and Tamara Popović will perform. Coach Marina Kosić's team will compete in slalom and giant slalom. Vujičić and Popović are the first to start today in the women's giant slalom, while their male colleagues will ride the qualifications for that discipline.
Yesterday, with the triumph of Norway, which defeated Sweden in the final, the team competition ended - two male and female skiers each in the parallel slalom. Germany earned the bronze, winning over Switzerland.
