The European champion in the category up to 81 kilograms in the youth age group, Petar Liješević from Budva, made it to the quarterfinals of the World Championship in Poland.
The officially best boxer in Europe celebrated against Finn Nikita Nisted in Kielce, in his second fight, and won the quarterfinals.
Liješević was dominant in the first two rounds, and in the third the Finn would have the advantage, because he was free in the first round by the will of the draw.
Liješević won the first round with 4:1 and the second identically, so he tactically preserved his advantage in the third.
Liješević held the center of the ring while his rival avoided the fight and looked for a clinch. However, LiIješević did better in it as well, so in the quarter-finals he will fight for passage to the semi-finals and thus a medal.
He will have the most difficult job in the skeleton up to 81 kilograms, as his rival will be the Cuban Bryan Leon Salgado, who won convincingly in the round of 3 against Valeriu Razmirita from Moldova. In the first round, Salgado was better than the Asian champion, Uzbek Abdulaev, 2:XNUMX.
