The national team of Montenegro in road cycling will make its debut at the international cycling race, Belgrade - Banja Luka, from tomorrow, April 22 to 25 this year.
Our selection will drive four stages of the international race: April 22: Belgrade - Šabac, April 23: Obrenovac - Bijeljina, April 24: Bijeljina - Vlasenica and April 25: Prijedor - Banja Luka.
The race Belgrade - Banja Luka is currently the only cycling competition in the region that is in the first category of the International Cycling Union (UCI).
175 cyclists from 35 countries will take part in the race, teams from Spain, Italy, Germany, Cambodia, Paraguay, Russia, Poland, Kazakhstan, the United States of America, Slovakia, Slovenia, Serbia and other countries, the race represents a great challenge for the Montenegrin team.
The favorites in this road race are Novo Nordisk from USA, "EvoPro" team from New Zealand, Bardiani from Italy, "Vino Astana Motors" from Kazakhstan, "Masi Vivo Konekta" team from Paraguay, as well as "Adria Mobil" team from of Slovenia.
Given the fact that this race has an increasing interest from year to year both in the region and in the world, this year's 15th international race Belgrade - Banja Luka will be covered by more than 30 media houses.
According to the selection of the selector Filip Stanišić, the composition of the Montenegrin national team for the race BG - BL includes Goran Cerović, Danilo Vukčević, Slobodan Milonjić, Ivan Gardašević, Zoran Tepavčević, Miloš Lazarević and Aleksandar Radunović.
