Jack Miller is also the fastest in Le Mans

Ducati rider Jack Miller achieved his second victory in a row, as he celebrated at the French Grand Prix, the fifth race of the Moto GP championship.

The Australian was the fastest two weeks ago in Jerez and today he achieved his third victory in the royal class, after having to serve two long-lap penalties in changing conditions. He also became the first driver from his country after Casey Stoner in 2012 to score two victories.

Pramak Ducati driver Joan Zarco was behind Miller, four seconds behind, and third was his younger countryman from France, Fabio Quartararo on Yamaha.

Quartararo took the leading position in the general standings with 80 points, a point more than Ducati rider Franćesko Banjaja, who was fourth today.

Valentino Rossi finished in 11th position while Honda's Marc Marquez was out of points after his second spin off the track on the 11th lap.

The next race is for the Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello circuit on May 30.
