Bakić and Gurešić from tomorrow in the fight for the trip to Tokyo

Montenegrin table tennis players Luka Bakić and Slobodanka Gurešić will perform from tomorrow to Sunday at Viner in Laško, the last qualifying tournament for placement at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, the Paralympic Committee announced.

It is stated that Gurešić will compete in the S4 category (persons in wheelchairs), and Bakić in the S10 category (standing position).

The tournament will gather more than 250 table tennis players from 52 countries of the world, the Montenegrin team will be led by coaches Nikolae Lupulescu and Čedomir Damjanović.

Only category winners will win a visa to Tokyo.

The appearance in Tokyo, based on the placement in the World ranking list, was previously provided by Filip Radović. A member of the bronze team from Helsingborg, Bakić said that he expects a difficult task, but that he believes in a good performance in Laško. "I know I have a difficult task, but I believe I have the quality to win the Winner and join Radović at the Paralympic Games," Bakić said. If Bakić triumphs in Laško, Montenegro would have representatives in the team part of the Paralympic Games for the first time, apart from their performance in singles.
