Ilija Marković from Delfin is the national champion in sailing, as he took second place at the Open Championship of Montenegro in class ILCA 7. With a great result at the international regatta, Marković confirmed his great form before the European Championship for sailors under 21 in Tivat from the 9th to the 16th June.
The Open Championship of Montenegro in sailing from June 4 to 6, in the ILCA class, which was held in "Luštica Bay", organized by the Delfin Sailing Club and the Montenegrin Sailing Association with the support of the Municipality of Tivat and Luštica Bay, took place in the spirit of competitors from the region .
In addition to competitors from Montenegro, sailors from Croatia, Serbia, Austria, France, Italy, Poland and Switzerland took part, who used the competition as a test for the European Championship in the Olympic class ILCA for sailors up to 21 years old, on the same regatta field in to the same household and organization.
A large number of sailors in the Laser classes - ILCA 7, ILCA 6, ILCA 4, sailed in two regattas under a mistral of 10 to 14 knots. On the second day, the wind was not favorable to the sailors and the organizers, but despite that, one regatta was successfully sailed, in a wind of four out of six knots. The third day of the competition was not in accordance with the competitors' expectations, because there was no wind, so the ranking was determined by the order of the two previous exciting days. The awards were presented to the best sailors by Maša Radulović, manager of corporate communications and CSR "Luštica Bay" and Dejan Deković, supervisor of Marina "Luštica Bay".

The competition will be extremely strong, followed by a spectacle at sea on the regatta field in Trašte Bay and great battles from June 9 to 16, as well as the hope that one of the sailors from the region will manage to fight for a place on the European podium.
