"Unfortunately, due to the positive test, Ilya Borodin will not participate in the Olympics. The second test before departure showed the presence of the coronavirus. He was the most disciplined in the team, followed all safety measures, but it happened that he got infected," said Viktor Avdiyenko, the first vice president of the All-Russian Swimming Federation (VFF).
"Ilya has no symptoms, but he is positive on the test. The other members are not infected and will travel to Tokyo on July 22". Avdiyenko concluded.
