The national championship in mountain biking and the international Trofej Trebjesa MTB XCO race, which was held in Trebjesa in the organization of the Bicycling Club (BK) Perun, gathered about 50 competitors.
Professional cyclists rode 3.250 meters in circles, and the youngest 1.100 meters in circles, on an extremely technically prepared and marked track, which was arranged for days by Peruna cyclists.
The most interesting and for the audience with the most expectations was the Elite category, where Goran Cerović from BK Pljevlja triumphed, while the best among ladies was Dunja Ivanova from Energia Makedonija.
In the Masters category, the first place went to Dragan Jašović from Tempo, while his club mate, Danilo Luković, was the best junior. Jovan Vučković from BK Pljevlja was first in the cadet category, and Todor Čapunović among recreational players.
In the younger categories, the Perun cyclists celebrated - Nina Vujičić in the cadet category, Dunja Kovačević among the pioneers, Marko Perović in the pioneer category, while Pavle Živković triumphed in the pole vaulters category. Aleksa Sarić, a member of Perun, was the best in the hobby fun category, and Todor Vujić from Tempo in the hobby sport category.
The chief judge was Nikolina Despotović, and the contestants received valuable cash prizes in addition to medals.
Before the start of the competition, the race director Ana Petrović Njegoš introduced the competitors to the propositions, explained the rules of driving and the behavior of the competitors on the demanding climbs and appealed to the youngest competitors to be careful.
President of the Cycling Federation of Montenegro (BSCG) Dejan Popović expressed his satisfaction that a large number of children participated and congratulated Perun on the traditionally excellent and high-quality way of organizing the national championship in mountain biking.
