The French handball players defeated the German selection today with 30:29, in the third round of Group A of the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The 2016 Rio Games runners-up are currently top of Group A with maximum performance. The best in the French team was Dika Mem with six goals, Ugo Deskat added five, and Luka and Nikola Karabatić scored two goals each. In the German national team, which has a win and two losses, Timo Kastening hit the opponent's net seven times. The maximum performance in Group A was also achieved by the Spanish team, which was better than the Brazilian team with a score of 32:25. The most effective player in the winning team was Ferran Sole Sala with five goals, while the best player in the Brazilian team, which suffered its third defeat, was João Pedro Silva with six goals.
