Montenegro is proudly sending the Paralympians to the Paralympic Games, convinced that, as they have done so far, they will represent it in the most dignified way possible, said the Director of the Sports Administration, Vasilije Lalošević.
Lalošević, who escorted the Paralympians to Tokyo at the Podgorica airport, said that expectations from the Montenegrin Paralympians are always high.
"With your energy, commitment and incredible optimism, you deserve the support of Montenegro." What you are doing is commendable and the Directorate for Sports and Youth will always stand behind you. You are already winners, just by going to Tokyo. It is up to you to represent your country in the right way, and I have no doubt that you will do it as well as now," Lalošević said.
He pointed out that the Directorate for Sports and Youth wants them to achieve their greatest successes in Tokyo.
Table tennis player Luka Bakić, who thanked Lalošević on behalf of the delegation, said that he will do everything to meet expectations.
"We will give our maximum in Tokyo, I hope that will be enough for a good result." We will do everything to present our country in the best light," Bakić said.
The first part of the Montenegrin expedition, consisting of table tennis players Filip Radović and Luka Bakić, coach Nikolae Lupulescu and head of the mission Miloš Ranitović, left tonight via Istanbul for Tokyo.
Apart from table tennis players, Montenegro will be represented by athletes Marijana Goranović and Miloš Spaić and swimmer Ilija Tadić.
