The Montenegrin Paralympian, Filip Radović, will play in the C group at the table tennis tournament at the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, which also includes Chinese Lian Hao, Nigerian Alabi Olabiji Olufemi and Joel Coghlan from Australia.
Luka Bakić's rivals in the B group will be the second table tennis player in the world in the S 10 class, Indonesian Daniel Jacobs and Spanish Jose Manuel Reyes Ruiz.
The two best from each of the four groups will advance to the quarterfinals.
The coach of the national team, Nikolae Lupulescu, believes that the Montenegrin table tennis players had a good draw, that they got quality rivals with whom they can play and hope to place among the top eight.
"Bakić has a slightly more difficult group, but in my opinion both of them have a real chance of placing in the top eight," Lupulescu said.
He pointed out that the decisive match for Bakić to reach the quarterfinals will be against the Spaniard Ruiz.
"Bakić won the last match between them in Spain, and he was more successful at the European Championship in Helsingborg. Radović has two lesser-known but high-quality rivals. He shouldn't have any problems with them, and against the Chinese he will fight for first place in the group ", Lupulescu said.
He added that the draw for the team part will be determined later, that is, after the individual part of the tournament.
The table tennis tournament at the Paralympic Games starts on Wednesday.
