The rematch between Usik and Joshua in April, the winner goes to Fury

There will be nothing from the fight for the unification of all titles in the super heavyweight category at least until the second half of 2022.

A few months ago, the WBC ordered Tyson Fury to make a mandatory defense of the belt against Dillian White, but due to the arbitration between the challenger and the most prestigious federation, the date of the duel is not yet in sight, so the King of the Gypsies announced that he will have a match in March in which the title will not be at stake.

But when he finally does the duel with White, and if he wins it, Fury will likely know the name of the rival with whom he will fight for the reign of the heavyweight division, as promoter Eddie Hearn announced that in April Alexander Usyk will defend the belts in the WBA, WBO and IBF versions in a rematch with the former champion, Anthony Joshua.

In September, the Ukrainian convincingly defeated the Briton, who immediately "pulled" the rematch clause.

"We have to meet and set a date. April seems like reality to me. AJ likes to fight twice a year, although we'd like it to be at least three times. "We've had a lot of offers from a number of countries, but I think the fight will be held in the United Kingdom," said Hearn, who is Joshua's promoter.

Earlier, there was talk about the possibility of Joshua giving up the rematch with Usik, so that the Ukrainian could fight with Fury, but with the obligation that the winner of that duel would go to the arena.

However, the WBC's decision that the Gypsy King must defend the belt against White changed everything and postponed what could be the most expensive fight in boxing history.
