Cyclist Goran Cerović is the best athlete in Pljevlja for 2021, and Marija Zuković, a member of the Shooting Club "Centar", is the best athlete.
The Commission for the awarding of annual awards in the field of sports, based on the results achieved in 2021, declared the "Pljevlja" Basketball Club as the best sports team. Tarik Raščić (Kick Box Club Pljevlja) was declared the best young promising sportsman, and Dina Katana (KK "Ris" Pljevlja) was declared the best young sportswoman.
According to the Commission's decision, Plakalo Mirhad (AMSK "AP Sport") was declared Sports Worker of the Year, and Goran Marjanović (KK "Ris" Pljevlja) was named Coach of the Year.
The commission also decided that posthumous awards for contribution to the development of sports for popularization and results achieved in the previous period will be awarded to the families of Milorad Miša Perović, coach of the Volleyball Club "Rudar" and Tarik Gadžović, a long-time member of the board of directors of RK "Rudar".
For the development of football in the municipality, the commission declared the Women's Football Club Breznica.
The awards to the athletes were presented by the president of the municipality of Pljevlja, Igor Golubović, who pointed out that the awards given to the best athletes are a kind of compensation for their successes, the promotion of sports and the promotion of Pljevlja.
"I also say that your efforts will not be forgotten in the future either. In the Municipality of Pljevlja, as before, you will have a reliable partner - to build and improve your sports skills. We will be proud and always give you an extra point for what you do. Because you don't just represent yourself, you represent our Pljevlja and our Montenegro within but also outside its borders", emphasized the President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Igor Golubović.
