Montenegrin athlete Marija Vuković won third place in the high jump tonight at the indoor meet in Madrid.
Marija jumped 187 centimeters, then at 190 she was unsuccessful all three times.
The first place was won by Eleonor Patterson from Australia, the second place was won by Ela Junila from Finland.
The best Montenegrin athlete in 2021 twice improved her personal and national indoor record this year.
Marija started the new season in good shape.
First, she went over 195 centimeters in the Czech Republic, and then in Banska Bistrica, Slovakia, she jumped a centimeter higher and again broke her personal and state record.
She was also supposed to compete at the meeting in Birmingham, but due to bad weather conditions she could not travel to the Island.
At the meetings in the first part of the year, Marija is preparing for the World Indoor Championship, which is scheduled from March 18 to 20 in Belgrade.
