Montenegrin kickboxer Miroslav Vujović will fight against Poland's Michal Blavdževič for the vacant title of European professional boxer in the discipline K1, category over 94 kilograms, his headquarters announced.
The match will be held on April 8 as part of the kickboxing tournament Budva Splendid Gran pri - Arena fight night.
The fight is planned to last five rounds of three minutes each.
The Pole beat Vujović twice in the amateur competition.
"It will be Vujović's opportunity for a rematch in the most important match in his professional career. The professional staffs of the fighters have reached an agreement that, regardless of the outcome of that match, the rematch will take place in Poland," the organizers announced.
Vujović achieved 44 victories and ten defeats in amateur competition, while as a professional he has 11 triumphs and six lost fights.
He was the amateur champion of the Balkans in 2016, he has two bronze medals at the world championships in 2017 and 2019 and gold at the World Cup in Innsbruck in 2019.
Blavdžievich was twice the world vice-champion in the heavyweight category, three times he won the WAKO K-1 World Cup, while he was five times the K-1 champion of Poland.
As an amateur, he achieved 100 wins and 25 losses, and as a professional, ten wins and five losses.
The sponsor of the project is the Municipality of Budva, and the host is the Montenegro stars hotel group.
The promoter is Ivan Strugar, and the technical organizer is the NGO Promotion of Sports Events.
