Montenegrin kickboxer Miroslav Vujović has no doubt that the match for the title of European champion is the biggest challenge in his career.

Vujović and Pole Mihal Blavdžievič will fight on April 8 for the vacant title of European professional champion in the discipline K1, category over 94 kilograms.

The match will be held as part of the kickboxing tournament Budva Splendid Gran pri - Arena fight night.

"The match is scheduled to last five rounds of three minutes each, so I will need exceptional psycho-physical preparation. The preparations are going great and I will be ready for the match. I am currently in Belgrade, where I am training with several exceptional heavyweights, and then I will return to Podgorica and finish the rest of the preparations there," Vujović said.

He respects his rival.

"The opponent is exceptional, but my motive is great. He is coming to my court and the belt must stay in Montenegro. I would like to thank the Municipality of Budva and Montenegro Stars Hotel Group, who made it possible to hold this tournament, and therefore gave me the opportunity to show off with the title of European professional champion," Vujović said.

Blavdžievich pointed out that he was honored by the WAKO PRO Federation's choice to be one of the two contenders for the vacant European K-1 title.

"I'm looking forward to coming to Montenegro and a new match with my old friend Miroslav Vujović, for whom I have great respect, regardless of the fact that I beat him twice in amateur competition," said Blavdžievič.

"For sure, a tough match awaits both of them. Preparations are going according to plan. I feel physically ready and I hope to add the European champion's belt to my rich amateur treasury on April 8 in Budva," said Blavdziević.

He was the amateur champion of the Balkans in 2016, he has two bronze medals at the world championships in 2017 and 2019 and gold at the World Cup in Innsbruck in 2019.

Blavdžievich was twice the world vice-champion in the heavyweight category, three times he won the WAKO K-1 World Cup, while he was five times the K-1 champion of Poland.

As an amateur, he achieved 100 wins and 25 losses, and as a professional, six wins and five losses.
