The international 50-kilometer ultramarathon, Montenegro 2022, will be held on Saturday in Podgorica, the organizers announced today.
The Podgorica ultramarathon is being held for the 23rd time, and this year the ultramarathoners will run along Crnogorski Serdara street, next to the Ljubović hill.
The circular path is a kilometer long.
The time limit for the competition is limited to six hours, so the official result will be valid only for those competitors who cover 50 kilometers during that time.
The ultramarathon will be the official championship of Montenegro, and it is held as part of the Podgorica Running Day event.
As part of the ultramarathon, there are races for students from first to fourth grade at 400 meters, pioneer girls at 600, pioneers and junior girls at 800, juniors at XNUMX meters, senior girls at XNUMX meters and seniors at XNUMX meters.
It was also announced that the five- and ten-kilometer races will be the official road championship of Montenegro, in the competition of juniors and seniors.
"At this year's event, in addition to registered Montenegrin athletes, competitors from Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine and Croatia will also perform.
In total, about 300 competitors are expected to participate," the organizers announced.
The technical organizer of the event is ATK Podgorica Marathon, in cooperation with the Athletics Federation of Montenegro, and under the auspices of the Secretariat for Sport and Culture of Podgorica and the Administration for Sports and Youth.
