Podgorica ultramarathon started, Minister Radulović participated in the 10 kilometer race

The international 50-kilometer ultramarathon, Montenegro 2022, is being held today in Podgorica.

The competition is held as part of the Podgorica Running Day event.

The competition began at 10 a.m. with a five-kilometer race for men and women, and an hour later, the 10-kilometer and 50-kilometer races for men and women began.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Đorđe Radulović also participated in the 10-kilometer race.

As announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after covering 10 kilometers, Radulović received an honorary gold medal from the Athletic Association.

"The message I would like to send to our citizens is to forget politics, forget parties, forget nationalism, forget war, forget history and the past, and do something good for themselves and their health. Do sports. Certainly, they will not all problems will disappear because of sports, but we will be stronger and mentally stronger to face them and come to an end," said Radulović.The Podgorica ultramarathon is being held for the 23rd time.

Ultramarathoners run along the street of Crnogorski serdara, next to Ljubović hill. The circular path is a kilometer long.

The time limit for the competition is limited to six hours, and the official result will be valid only for those competitors who cover 50 kilometers during that time.

Ultramarathon is also the official championship of Montenegro.
