Montenegrin professional boxer Milorad Žižić won the title of world champion in the light heavyweight division, version of the WBU.
He defeated the Georgian fighter Merab Gukasini last night in Dorsten, Germany. He won by knockout in the first round.
Žižić hit the Georgian on the counter with a left uppercut and shook him, after which he solved the question of the winner with a series of punches.
"There will be a short break and I hope that we will defend the title in September in Nikšić", said Žižić to the MINA agency.
Žižić returned to the ring after more than five years and a defeat by the American John Ware in Las Vegas. In his professional career, he recorded 13 victories, six of them by knockout. There are also two defeats.
He was the WBC champion of the Mediterranean and the Youth World Champion in the IBF version.
He experienced both defeats in his career in the United States, in matches for the title of American champion.
