The Mediterranean Games, the 19th in a row, which will be held in June 2022 in Oran, Algeria, the active participation of all 26 national Olympic committees in the work of commissions and operations of the ICMG and the organization of an important Mediterranean event in Montenegro in the near future, were are the main topics of conversation between the President of the Montenegrin Olympic Committee (COK), Dušan Simonović, and the Secretary General of the International Committee of the Mediterranean Games (ICMG), Iakovos Filipusis, it was announced from the COK.
"It was really a great pleasure and honor for me to have the opportunity to visit the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, representing President Tican and our entire organization. We had a long and really productive discussion with President Dušan Simonović and his excellent team. We really appreciate their engagement, which is important for the Mediterranean family and rests on its values", concluded the Secretary General of the ICMG after the meeting.
It was announced that Simonović emphasized the commitment of COK to the Mediterranean Games and the new project of three continents "Sea unites us all", which includes the Mediterranean spirit of peace, friendship, unity and solidarity.
"Also, he expressed his satisfaction that the Montenegrin Olympic Committee will gather the entire Mediterranean family at a future ICMG event, which will be organized in Montenegro. This was the first visit of a current ICMG official to the Montenegrin Olympic Committee. The meeting was also attended by Igor Vušurović, acting general secretary of COK and Katarina Bulatović, future sports director of this organization."
