To implement the plan and program, athletes must have a special budget that is commensurate with the expectations and goals that the athlete can realistically fulfill. The same is the situation with scholarships, you will agree that the same scholarship cannot be given to a competitor who pretends to perform at the European and World Championships and there he fights to enter the finals with athletes who win the eighth or tenth place at the Balkan Championships or in even worse situations, have not trained for years and do athletics recreationally. the work of the Association, which in the last 10 years shows year after year that it knows how to create results, otherwise I am afraid that we will have unforeseeable consequences and probably the early retirement of our best and most promising athletes", stated in the announcement of Furtula and Đurović.
