Montenegrin table tennis players Filip Radović and Luka Bakić also showed at an extremely strong tournament in Laško that when it matters most, they know what they need to play to win, said national team coach Nikolae Lupulescu.

Radović and Bakić secured bronze medals in Laško, and tomorrow they will fight for a place in the final.

Lupulescu said that the tournament in Laško, apart from the Indonesian David Jacobs and Lian Hao from China, brought together all the best players from the world ranking list in the S10 class.

He pointed out that he was satisfied with the game of Radović and Bakić, stating that he was particularly pleased with how they played the decisive points in the match.

"You can see that after the Olympic Games in Tokyo, they gained confidence and experience when it comes to strong matches. Radović routinely finished the group with all three victories and was first in the group. Bakić had a more difficult group, but he managed to surprise the Pole Igor Mistal and beat him in the match for first place in the group," said Lupulescu.

According to him, in a difficult quarter-final match against Spaniard Manuel Ruiz Reyes, Radović managed to emerge victorious after five sets, while Bakić eliminated the awkward Pole.

Speaking about the semi-final duels, the trophy expert said that he expects an interesting duel between Bakić and Poland's Patrik Čojnovski.

"It will be an interesting match, in which Čojnovski is the favorite. Bakić beat the silver medalist from the Olympic Games in the last tournament, and that does not necessarily mean that he cannot surprise in this match as well," Lupulescu said.

He expects an uncertain match in the second semi-final as well, between Radović and Frenchman Mateo Bohas.

"It will be a difficult match for both table tennis players. The one who endures mentally will win. Both are quality players, only Filip is much younger," Lupulescu said.

The semi-final matches will be played on Saturday, at ten hours and 30 minutes.

The final is on the same day.

Last weekend, Radović and Bakić played in the final of the French Open Championship.
