Marija Vuković failed to qualify for the high jump finals at the World Championships in Judžino.
She was only ninth in qualifying group B, with a jump of 190 centimeters.
The norm was 195, and none of the 12 finalists exceeded it.
Therefore, 193 centimeters was enough to qualify for the finals, and three contestants among the top 12 entered with a jump height of 190 centimeters, with the fact that they had fewer attempts than Marija Vuković.
Vuković cleared 190 on her second attempt, while breaking the bar three times at 193.
In two attempts, she was very close, therefore to the final, but she did not succeed and since the start of this season, she achieved the lowest ranking and result.
The proximity of the Mediterranean Games and the gold in Oran, with a jump of 192 centimeters, obviously took away too much energy from the best Montenegrin athlete, it seems that she was not fresh enough for a bigger result...
Marija jumped 195 centimeters this season...
