Marija Vuković fourth with a jump of 188 centimeters

Montenegrin athlete Marija Vuković finished fourth in the high jump competition at the Diamond League meeting in the Polish city of Silesia.

Vuković jumped 188 centimeters, the same height as the third-placed Ukrainian Katerina Tabašnik, but in several attempts.

The Montenegrin record holder jumped 184 on her first attempt, and 188 centimeters on her second attempt. She fell all three times at a height of 192 centimeters.

Only Safina Sadulayeva from Uzbekistan from the first attempt and Jaroslava Mahuchik from Ukraine from the second attempt jumped that height.

Elena Valortigara from Italy had the same number of attempts and jump height as Marija Vuković.

Vuković performed for the second time at the meetings of the Diamond League, after on June 18, in her debut performance in Paris, she won fifth place, with the third result of the meeting (195).

Even then, the Montenegrin record holder in the high jump was only separated from the podium by a greater number of attempts.

Vuković is now traveling to Munich, where the senior European championship will be held from August 15 to 21.

She will compete at the fourth European Championship in her career on August 19 in the qualifiers and try to reach the finals for the first time.
