Krunić: We will try to take at least four points against Iceland and Finland

The women's volleyball team of Montenegro failed to surprise and overcome in the qualifiers for the European Championship.

The Czech women won 3:1 in Pljevlje today, and Montenegro is the first team to take a set from the Czech Republic in these qualifications.

"I congratulate my team for a good game. At times it was great, but when you stand next to the field and feel the strength of the Czech Republic, then it is clear why, at this moment, we cannot beat them. We improved in our game. We did not respect all the things, if we we would take a point, which would be very big. But this set can also bring us a lot," coach Milorad Krunić said after the match.

Next comes a visit to Iceland on September 7, and then three days later a visit to Finland.

"We are going to Iceland and Finland with the desire to take at least four points and create a chance to go to the championship," Krunic said.

After four matches, Montenegro has three points and is in third place in the group.

"I congratulate the Czechs, but also my team. We fought, showed a quality game. We played better than in the Czech Republic. We have two more games left - I hope we will beat Finland and qualify for the European Championship," said Dušanka Petrović.
