The judo team of Montenegro finished the first competitive day of the Balkan Cadet Championship in Kodžaeli, Turkey, with five medals - one gold and one silver and three bronze.
Andrijana Šutović won the gold medal in the category up to 52 kilograms. She defeated the Greek Fani Prifti in the final match.
Mia Božinović also fought for the gold medal in the category up to 57 kilograms, but she was defeated by Erisa Brahimaj from Albania in the final match.
Bronze medals were won by Matija Milović (up to 55), Muhamed Beriša (up to 66) and Stevan Nikčević (up to 73).
Milović won the bronze medal by winning against Nikola Radivojević from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In the match for the bronze medal, Berisha was better than the Greek Iraklis Mpalampanidis, while Nikčević celebrated against the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dimitrije Savić and avenged his defeat at the recently held World Cadet Championship in Sarajevo.
Tomorrow, on the second day of competition, Vidak Miljenovic and Savo Ljiljanić (up to 81), Pavle Bulatović and Nikola Zmajević (up to 90), Stefan Kovinić and Luka Šestović (over 90), Una Špadijer (up to 63) and Andrea Turčinović (up to 70).
