The best Montenegrin boxers will fight in the Regional Boxing League, under the helmet of BK Nikšić.
The people of Nikšić, who in the last two years have been trying to bring the "noble skill" back to the city under Trebjes, have received the support of other Montenegrin clubs and the Boxing Association for participation in the Regional League.
The first two-round boxing will take place in Banja Luka.
"I'm sure Nikšić will have a great team with the best boxers in Montenegro and I believe that we will be in the playoffs this year - said Ratko Drašković, director of BK Nikšić.
For Nikšić in the new RBL season, young people will be boxing: Filip Božović (-54 kg), Nikola Radenović (-71 kg).
Seniors: Luka Gačević (- 63,5 kg), Stefan Savković (- 71 kg), Đorđe Smolović (- 71 kg), Petar Marčić (- 80 kg), Milorad Purić (- 86 kg), Petar Liješević (- 86 kg ), Nikola Lekić (- 92 kg) Dimitrije Milić (+ 92 kg).
Senior women: Bojana Gojković (- 52 kg), Tamara Radunović (- 63 kg),
In the 1st round, BK Nikšić will not be complete, but they will be at the domestic tournament in November with all 12 competitors.
On Friday, September 30 and the following day, October 1, Radenović, Božović and seniors Gačević, Smolović, Savković, Marčić, Lekić and Milić will box in Banja Luka.
They will be accompanied by coaches Jovan - Joco Todorović, Slavko Mrdak, Boško Drašković and Stevan Sjekloća.
In the 2022/2023 season, the league will be based on a new competition system. All clubs will box for two days according to the tournament system, and after competing in ten host cities, the four most successful teams will go to the playoffs for the champion.
10 clubs from the countries of the former Yugoslavia will participate in the new RBL season.
The RBL was formed last season, in the 2022/2023 season. according to the new format, the following teams will compete: Radnički Beograd, Novi Pazar, Sombor, Loznica, Vardar, Nikšić, Slavija from Banja Luka, Zadar, Maribor and Željezničar from Sarajevo.
The first two-round RBL is in Banja Luka. A draw will be used to decide who will box against whom by car, and the four best teams will enter the playoffs, which will be held on neutral ground.
The title was won last season by Red Star, who beat Loznica in the final in Skopje.
