Verstappen: It will be difficult to repeat this season

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen said today that it is incredible to record the 15th victory in the Formula 1 season, and that it will be a good motivation for the coming year.

"It's amazing to win here again. It's the 15th win of the season and it's amazing. It was a pleasure to work with the team and achieve something like this. I know it will be difficult to repeat, but it's a good motivation to try to be good again next year ", Verstappen said, the BBC reported.

Verstappen celebrated today in Abu Dhabi in the last race of the Formula 1 championship this season.

He previously secured his second consecutive world title. Last year he won the title after a controversial victory in Abu Dhabi.

Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc took second place, becoming world vice-champion.

"Yes, I had a good feeling, I was 100 percent sure that we could do it. We had a perfect race for us. I knew that the only way to beat Cech (Sergio Peres) was with tire care and strategy," added Leclerc.

Third place went to Red Bull driver Sergio Perez, who had three points less than second-placed Leclerc in the general standings.

"That's how it is sometimes. Everything can be close. At the end of the day I have to be happy. I gave everything, as a team we did our best throughout the season and I'm sure we'll come back stronger next year," concluded Peres.

Verstappen won the first position with 454 points, second is Leclerc with 308, and third is Peres with 305 points.

The new season starts at the beginning of March next year with the Bahrain Grand Prix.
