Goalball representative Nikola Nikolić is the most successful Montenegrin Paralympian in 2022, the Management Board of the Paralympic Committee (POK) decided.
Nikolić led the team from Nikšić to the final of the final tournament of the Champions League and with 90 goals he was the second scorer of that competition.
They qualified for the final tournament at the qualifying tournaments in Prague and Nikšić, where they won second and first place respectively.
This year, the goalball players were third at the international tournament in Roštok, while they triumphantly ended their performances in Belgrade and Niš.
The most successful young athlete is swimmer Iskra Dedivanović, who won a bronze junior medal at the European Youth Paralympic Games in Finland in the 100m breaststroke discipline.
The most successful team in 2022 was declared Golbal Club Nikšić, silver in the final tournament of the Champions League in Germany.
The most successful coach is Nikola Čurović, head of the coaching staff of Nikšić and the national team of Montenegro.
POK will award awards to athlete Maja Rajković, judoka Mirnes Ramović and table tennis players Filip Radović and Luka Bakić for outstanding sports results.
At the international sanctioned meeting in Zagreb, in the F 54 javelin throw, Rajković achieved a personal record with a shot of 14,24 meters.
It is currently the best result in the European rankings of the International Para-Athletics Federation.
Ramović was fifth at the Senior European Championship for the blind and visually impaired in Cagliari, while Radović and Bakić were quarter-finalists at the World Championship in Spain.
The solemn ceremony of announcing the best will be held on December 21, at 13 p.m., at the Ramada Hotel in Podgorica.
