The successes of young Montenegrin athletes and the joy they have continuously brought to sports fans in Montenegro are a clear motive for the support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth, said Minister Vasilije Lalošević.
Today, he hosted young athletes from the Karate, Jiu Jitsu and Taekwondo Association, who received the status of promising athletes of Montenegro and earned the right to a one-year scholarship.
Lalošević said that this is an incentive for their further development and progress in the sports disciplines to which they belong.
"It is my honor to host young people, who represent the bright sporting future of our country, who will surely and successfully pave the way for all those boys and girls who will want to play sports in Montenegro", said Lalošević.
He emphasized that he is aware that the sign of attention from the institution responsible for sports is an additional incentive for young athletes.
"For us from this institution, it is a pleasure to participate, at least in part, in a nice gesture towards athletes," said Lalošević.
Karate players Emre Saljiu, Milena Jovanović and Jovana Damjanović, taekwondo national team members Andrea Berishaj and Vuk Vuletić gained the status of promising.
This status was also achieved by the jiu jitsu national team members Vedrana Praščević, Anđela Vukčević, Jelena Vukčević, Nina Bogićević, Ljubica Nikčević, Milica Mihaljević, Kristina Radosavović, Andrija Golić and Stefan Ćorović.
The meeting was also attended by the director of the karate national team Miodrag Radunović, the selector of the jiu jitsu national team Nikola Prodanović and the delegation of the Taekwondo Association Predrag Drecun, Radomir Nastić and Nikola Gegaj.
The reception with Minister Lalošević was also attended by the director of the Sports Directorate, Zoran Jojić, as well as independent advisors Monika Roćenović and Danilo Medojević.
