For the first time in history, the "Tour d' France" will not end on the Champs Elysées - the 111th edition of the most prestigious cycling race in the world next year will end with a time trial on the Cote d'Azur.
The organizers were forced to abandon the traditional finale in the City of Light, which will host the Olympic Games next year.
Considering that the last stage of the "Tour" on the Champs-Élysées is always a showpiece, this time it will be extremely important, because there will be a 35,2-kilometer time trial from Monaco to Nice, with two climbs and a 15-kilometer descent at the end.
And the day before will be a very exciting, hilly stage with the finish at the top of Kijol.
Drivers will cross an altitude difference of 132 meters on 4.400 kilometers, with four hill climbs.
The "Tour" will begin on June 29, 2024 in Florence, and end on July 21, five days before the start of the Olympic Games in Paris.
