The Ministry of Sports and Youth will support the initiative of the Taekbol Federation to form a regional Taekbol league, said Minister Vasilije Lalošević.
He believes that the regional league will contribute to the further development of that sport, its visibility, but also to the strengthening of sports relations in the countries of the region.
Today, Lalošević hosted the representatives of the International Taekball Federation (FITEQ) - General Secretary Lasla Vajda, International Cooperation Director Reka Reikard, as well as the President of the Taekball Federation of Montenegro, Milorad Šutulović, and the General Secretary, Maja Peković.
The Minister praised the work of the Taekbol Federation and emphasized the continuous support of the Ministry of Sports and Youth for the popularization and development of Taekbol in Montenegro.
Lalošević said that he is convinced that Montenegro, bearing in mind the commitment of the Taekbol Association, will succeed in bringing the sport to the level it deserves with joint efforts.
Vajda said that he was recently appointed to the post of Secretary General of the International Taekwondo Federation and that the visit to Podgorica was his first official visit.
"I think that what the Taekbol Association has done is really impressive. Although we do not have a long history as a sport, it is precisely for this reason that we have the opportunity to develop in the direction we want, and I believe that there is great potential in front of us that we can realize with our joint efforts," he said. is Vajda.
The President of the Taekbol Association, Milorad Šutulović, thanked Vajda for the support he provides to Taekbol in Montenegro.
"Nothing could be realized without your support. I am looking forward to the event that is being held in Podgorica, where about 150 competitors from 30 different countries are participating. Such an event will speed up and speed up the promotion of this sport," Šutulović said.
The meeting was also attended by the director of the Sports Directorate, Zoran Jojić, and the head of the Department for International Cooperation, Miloš Lalević.
