The youth national team of Montenegro is participating in the "Greatest Open" international tournament, which is being held in Lazarevac from today until April 2.
Filip Božović was the first in the ring and in the quarter-finals of the category up to 54 kg he won by interrupting Dragan Grujić from Slovenia. He will box tomorrow in the semi-finals against Nicholas Kamburkais from Cyprus.
Mirko Šarčević, the best young athlete of Montenegro last year, today unanimously defeated Luiđi Salov from Croatia in the quarter-finals of the category up to 80 kg. He will fight Marko Pižurica from Serbia in the semi-finals tomorrow.
In the category up to 92 kg, Andrija Brajković will only compete in the final, where he will face the winner of the match between Đorđe Đorđević from Serbia and Filip Kumic from Croatia.
In the quarterfinal match of the category up to 63,5 kg, Miloš Roganović lost by points to Strahinja Mosoronski from Serbia. He will use the remaining days of the tournament for sparring to gain experience.
One of our most promising younger competitors, Strahinja Mrdak, is also in Lazarevac where, in the age of schoolboys up to 42 kg, she will do two introductory matches with local boxers.
With the boxers is the head coach of the national team Sergej Kudravcjov, as well as coaches Mugoša Kovačević and Slavko Mrdak.
