Montenegrin taekwondo representative Anđela Berishaj won the qualification tournament in Bucharest and qualified for the European Games in Krakow.
Today, in the final match of the category up to 73 kilograms, she defeated the Ukrainian Irina Pipot in two rounds.
Previously, she quickly and convincingly eliminated the Ukrainian Polina Kucheriova.
The second Montenegrin representative Jelena Peruničić in the category up to 46 kilograms was defeated by Hungarian Helga Caki.
Tomorrow, on the second day of the competition, Andrea Komatina (up to 57), Zinedin Bećović (up to 68) and Vasilije Peruničić (up to 74) will compete.
Only the winners of the tournament in Bucharest will win an appearance in Krakow.
Placement at the European Games, from the ranking list of the European Taekwondo Federation, was won by the 14 best. The winner of the gold medal from the qualification tournament in Bucharest will also qualify, and the list of 16 participants will be completed by the representative of the country hosting the Games.
