Danish cyclist Mads Pedersen is the winner of today's sixth stage of the Giro d'Italia, which was driven around Naples.
The driver of the Trek-Segafredo team came to victory with an excellent final sprint, and finished the flat stage in a time of three hours, 44 minutes and 45 seconds.
He thus became the 104th cyclist in history to record a stage triumph at the Grand Tour (Tour d'France, Giro and Vuelta).
The second place was taken by local driver Jonathan Milan, while the German Pascal Ackerman climbed to the last step of the podium.
There were no changes in the general standings, DSM team member Norwegian Andreas Laknesund is in first position (22 hours, 50 minutes and 48 seconds).
Belgian Remko Evenepool is second, 28 seconds behind, while French Aurelien Pare-Pintre is third, 30 seconds behind.
Tomorrow, the mountain stage from Capua to Gran Sass, with a length of 218 kilometers, is on the program.
