The new season of the Montenegrin Teqball League will open on Saturday, May 27 in Ulcinj, with the first Montenegrin Teqball League (MTL) tournament.
On the last weekend in May, the small beach will welcome the best Montenegrin skaters, who will compete in the men's pairs competition. Participation in the tournament is free, and the prize fund is 1.000 euros, announced the Tennis Association of Montenegro.
"After a great last season, which concluded with the organization of the first tournament of the prestigious European Taekball Tour in Podgorica, the Taekball Association of Montenegro is starting a new season of competitions at the national level. We expect even greater interest from Montenegrin taekball players and new applications, as well as an even higher level of taekball at various locations. Cities in all regions of Montenegro will host the Montenegrin Taekball League, and everything starts from Ulcinj, which was the scene of the Taekball spectacle last year as well. We believe that it will be the same this year and that all visitors to Mala Plaža will enjoy the urban sports discipline ", pointed out the president of the Tennis Association of Montenegro, Milorad Šutulović.
He added that the first MTL tournament is also the announcement of the summer tourist season and the promotion of Ulcinj as an attractive location, which has great conditions for sports and recreation, and we are extremely happy to cooperate with the Municipality and the Ulcinj Tourist Organization.

"Tackball is constantly expanding in Montenegro, as evidenced by the 50 tables set up so far in all parts of the country, and we also have free appointments in three cities. Velika plaža welcomed the elite European players, and on May 27, the best in Montenegro will show their skills at Mala plaža and present the beauty of the southernmost Montenegrin municipality.
"Last year's takball tournament, which was held in September on the Velika beach, introduced us to the world champions in this urban sport and rounded off an extremely successful tourist season for our city in a great way. Now, the takball competition represents the beginning of our summer tourism story and is one of the aspects promotion of the advantages of our city and the coast," announced the office of the President of the Municipality of Ulcinj.
They state that they are sure that Ulcinj is waiting for an all-day taekbol spectacle.
"And that many visitors to our promenade and beach will stay to follow the events on the curved table. The Ulcinj coast is, among other things, a great climate for sports. Our waters are phenomenal for kite surfing and the beaches were a great surface for soccer on the sand. Now we will be able to let's see for ourselves the mastery of Montenegrin players, and we hope to contribute to the promotion of this really attractive sport," added the office of the President of the Municipality of Ulcinj.
Everything is ready for a new teqball story - the second season of the Montenegrin Teqball League starts on Saturday, May 27. From this season, the number of participants has also increased, so 24 teams will compete in the premier edition.
