Grandmasters Denis Kadrić and Nebojša Nikčević drew in the first game of the semifinals of the qualification tournament for the World Cup.
A draw was concluded after repeating the move, i.e. eternal chess.
The grandmasters played a meaningful game, the white pieces were led by Kadrić, and Nikčević opted for the Russian defense.
The second grandmaster duel went to Nikola Đukić without a fight, after grandmaster Dragiša Blagojević, dissatisfied with the impossibility of re-drawing for the semi-finals and a different interpretation of the rules, decided not to play today's game in protest.
The other games of the semi-finals are scheduled for tomorrow at 14 p.m.
The organizer of the tournament is the Chess Federation, in cooperation with the Municipality of Nikšić, the Technopolis Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center and the Elektroprivreda Chess Club, under the auspices of the Ministry of Sports and Youth.
