Montenegrin taekwondo representative, Anđela Berishaj, won a bronze medal at the Luxembourg Open international tournament.
At the start of the competition in the category up to 73 kilograms, the senior Besa defeated the German Lea Selin Mini 2:0.
In the match for the final, she was stopped by the referee's declaration, from France's Ester Vander-Zvole.
"After a draw in the rounds 1:1, a third was played. Angela started well and led 4:2, and was in the lead until the very end. The French woman managed to equalize, so the finalist was decided by the judges. "Angela received the support of the ring judge, while the line judges gave the advantage to the French woman," coach Nikola Gegaj told the MINA agency.
He said that they regret the final, but they are looking forward to winning new points.
"She regrets the final, because Darija Husović was waiting for her there, whom she won in the final in Sarajevo. I am satisfied, because it is a great success to win a medal in the competition of 922 competitors", said Gegaj.
Preparations for the European Games in Krakow continue, and Gegaj said that he believes that Berishaj will make a good impression at that competition as well.
