Iskra's karate player, Anes Arifaj, won a gold medal at the World Youth League tournament in Poreč.
He won the gold medal in the cadet competition, in the category up to 70 kilograms, after winning six matches.
On the way to the final, he eliminated the Dutchman Levi Blumnik 6:0, the Austrian Lorenz Wintersperger 3:0, Eitan Zhang from New Zealand 2:0, the Italian Almeric Tomazino 6:5 and in the semifinals the world champion, the Kazakh Alikan Kadirgali 2:0.
The winner of the final, against the Italian Alvis Toniolo, was decided by the rule of the first point won, after the fight ended in a draw 3:3.
Filip Šoškić, who was stopped in the fourth round, was left without a fight for medals, despite a good performance, while Nikša Zejak and Balša Vojinović were eliminated in the third.
Vuk Vučinić and Branko Lazović finished the performance in the first round.
In the floor competition, Saša Petrić was stopped in the second round, and Katarina Vlahović in the third round.
