Three golds, one silver and two bronze medals are the balance of Montenegrin students' medals at the European University Games in martial arts, which ended today in Zagreb.
After yesterday's bronze kick boxers Matija Drobnjak and Jelena Peroničić in taekwondo, today's program included the final matches in which we won three gold and one silver medal.
Vasilisa Bujić, a student of the Faculty of Business and Management, had a fantastic karate tournament. She won the final in the category up to 68 kilograms against the representative of France, Marmot Melinda, with a score of 3:0, so she ended the tournament in Zagreb dominantly, without losing a point.
The gold medal was also won by the karate player of the University of Montenegro, Nikola Malović, who won the final match against Slovakian representative Julian Enerik Smolig in the category up to 84 kilograms in his favor with a score of 8:0.
The gold medal was also won by a student of the Police Academy, kickboxer Nemanja Čađenović, in the category K1 up to 71 kilograms. In the final, he defeated the current vice-champion of Europe and the bronze medalist from the world championship, the representative of Turkey Aslan Ajdin, with a 2:1 decision by the referee.
Our best skater Vladimir Mijač, a student of the Adriatic University from Bar, had to settle for silver. In the final, he performed kata Kanku sho, which earned him a score of 41,1, but the gold went to bronze medalist Duran Kutluhan from Turkey, who won with a score of 41,7.
