Montenegrin table tennis players Filip Radović and Luka Bakić won at the start of the European Championship in Sheffield.
Today in the S10 category, at the opening of the second group, Radović defeated the Pole Pavel Wlodika 3:1 (11:9, 10:12, 11:7 and 11:3).
In the fourth group, Bakić was convincing against Filip Hein from Luxembourg 3:0 (11:4, 11:1 and 11:3).
Coach Vladimir Marić said that Radović and Bakić lived up to expectations.
"Bakić achieved an easy victory, against a rival who is objectively an outsider. Radović played at his level against the unpleasant Pole Vlodika. He tied him with a change of tactics, but he could not win more than one set. We broke the ice, I expect the winning streak to continue tomorrow as well Marić told the MINA agency.
Tomorrow at ten o'clock, Radović expects a duel with Ivan Karabec from the Czech Republic.
Bakić will play against Austrian Christian Gardos 45 minutes later, while at 19:XNUMX he will meet with Valentin Marinov from Bulgaria.
Placement in the quarterfinals will be won by the two best from all four groups.
The quarterfinal matches are scheduled for Wednesday, while the semifinals and finals are scheduled for Thursday.
