The fourth continental boxing competition is coming to the Montenegrin coast.
After having already organized three championships of the Old Continent in several categories, Budva will now also host the European Championship for senior men and women up to 22 years of age.
The competition is scheduled from November 10 to 20, and as announced by the Budva Boxing Club, the decision was made at an emergency session of the European Boxing Federation.
"At that meeting, it was unanimously voted to move the European championship of senior and senior women up to the age of 22 (U-22) to Budva, instead of the originally planned Baku. The reason for this is that the Boxing Federation of Azerbaijan did not sign the contract on time and provide the required conditions and the management of EUBC reacted quickly so as not to call into question the organization of this great competition", they state from BK Budva.
They are proud of another recognition.
"This act once again confirms how much confidence the Boxing Association of Montenegro, headed by President Aleksandar Klemenko, has in the structures of the leading men of boxing in Europe and the world. I am also pleased by the fact that Budva as a city and our club, which is still working in the basement, are recognized as one of big boxing centers", they state in the statement.
